I’m so excited to share this gorgeous wedding!! I’ve known Taj since I was just a little kid. She’s two years older than me and as a teenager, I wanted to *be* Taj. She has always been such a talented artist, hilarious and just too cool. I mean, she worked at Mo’s Modern Times in Encinitas!! Our parents were very close friends, so we spent a lot of time together back in the day. When Taj contacted me about photographing her wedding, I was over-the-moon excited. I am so happy for Taj, she has found the love of her life and I’ve never seen her so happy. Speaking of which, Amy is absolutely lovely… inside and out.
The wedding took place at Taj’s mom’s home in Encinitas. The house is completely remodeled and doesn’t bear much resemblance to the home I remember, but the backyard felt very familiar. Amy and Taj worked on every detail, from the paper flowers Amy made, to the mismatched dishes and handmade drink tags.
This is just so sweet, Amy started to cry when she saw how her hair looked…
Taj had this beautiful suit made for the occasion. And this is just the best… Taj was looking for a handkerchief and her mom started going through her linens and found this handkerchief that was her grandmother’s. The blue birds and red hearts fit in perfectly with the entire design scheme of the wedding.. it was perfect!
I just love this! Taj was just wowed when she saw Amy approaching! Oh, and Taj had Theodora with her, and Amy had Hank with her…
PS> the food was AMAZING and the cake(s) were to DIE FOR!!
